Ann advises the Provost concerning College policies, procedures and actions and acts for and on behalf of the Provost in providing policy and procedure direction to the vice-provosts, deans, administrative personnel, etc. She has oversight responsibility for faculty and staff, human resource administration, providing the Provost with information about pertinent laws, regulations, and rules (e.g., FLSA, ADA , University Policies and Procedures, Faculty Handbook, etc.) and by alerting him to potential problems within the Provost's area of purview. She serves as the Provost's liaison to the University community, THEC, TBR, and other agencies. She provides direct supervision to the Office of Academic Personnel Services. She researches and prepares speeches and presentations made by the Provost and plans and oversees development of other technical systems within the Provost's area. Ann represents the Provost in meetings within and outside of the College and has secondary responsibility for management of the Provost's annual budget. The Director of Academic Affairs Administration also maintains a liaison relationship with the President's Office and with the President in the absence of the Provost; maintains a liaison relationship with the Vice Presidents, Vice-Provosts, Deans, Chairs, and with other administrative personnel within the University.
