Dr. Faudree is asking that vice provosts, deans, associate deans, assistant deans, chairs, directors and faculty members take part in the 2004 Convocation on Thursday, April 22. Also he would encourage all tenure track faculty to take part. He thinks that this would be an excellent opportunity for you to show commitment to the University and support your colleagues. Please make every effort to attend.

If you do not have regalia, you may contact Dr. Marion Emslie at extension 5547 or email her at memslie@memphis.edu . The faculty will don regalia in rooms 105 and 107 of the CFA Building beginning at 1:00 pm. You may also take part without regalia. The processional to the Rose Theatre will begin at 1:30.

If it is raining on Thursday, you will don regalia in the Field House and will march from there under the covered walkway to the Rose Theatre.

The featured speaker at the Convocation ceremony will be Dr. Cyril F. Chang from the Department of Economics. He will be receiving this year's Eminent Faculty Award. A list of the other award winners is attached.

There will be a reception following the ceremony at the Rose Theatre.
