Program Guidelines
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
April 1, 2008 - 11:30-12:30 p.m. -- Rose Theatre
Poster presentations are visual displays. The posters will be set up in an open area. The poster session allows the presenter(s) an opportunity to discuss his/her research in a less formal atmosphere. Students who participate in poster presentations will be sent additional information after April 3, 2007.
AWARD CEREMONY
April 1, 2008 - 11:45-12:30 p.m., Up to $3,000 in Prizes
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION PROCESS
ONE hard copy of the abstract should be submitted. Each copy MUST contain all of the information as described in the guidelines, and MUST be arranged in the following order:
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CONTACT PERSON.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications must be received on or before 4:30 p.m., March 13, 2008 in the Administration Building, Room 215. Applications received after this date will not be accepted. Submission of applications represents a professional commitment to attend the research forum on Tuesday, April 1, 2008.
PROGRAM COVER SHEET
The program sheet must be attached to all copies of the proposal. The following information is to be completed on the cover sheet:
1. Title of the Presentation. Please limit the title to 12 words or less. Titles longer than 12 words will be modified by the program committee.
2. Area of Study. Select the primary subject matter that best identified the abstract proposal.
ABSTRACT PAGE
The abstract page provides a brief summary of the proposed presentation. Abstracts are printed in the forum program. The abstract should be carefully prepared and proofread as it will not be edited by the Program Committee. THE ABSTRACT PAGE SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS THE SECOND PAGE OF EACH PROPOSAL. The following information should be included on the abstract page:
1. Title of Presentation: Type in the title in 12 words or less as it appears on the Program Cover Sheet.
2. Abstract: Type the body of the abstract in the space provided on the form. All abstracts should be 75-100 words in length.
3. First Author: Indicate the name and area of study (including the complete address and phone numbers) of the first author as designated on the Program Cover Sheet.
