GRADUATE SCHOOL FELLOWSHIPS & AWARDS
FOR INCOMING STUDENTS

The following fellowships and awards are offered through the Graduate School. Additional information may be obtained on the web or by phone at 901-678-4212, or in person, 215 Administration Building.


Students must be nominated by their departments or college for the following awards:

Van Vleet Memorial Doctoral Award--Incoming doctoral students enrolled in the designated science fields of Audiology & Speech Pathology, Biology, Chemistry, Geological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Microbiology & Molecular Cell Sciences, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are eligible for this award and must be nominated by their respective department chair.

Part-time Master's Fellowship--This fellowship is awarded to incoming master's students who will be taking 3-8 credit hours each semester their first year. Students must be fully admitted to a program by April 28th and not have been previously enrolled in that academic discipline. Candidates are nominated by the college.
