Finding an assistantship is like looking for a job--NETWORK!!

Most graduate assistantships are offered through academic departments, so always check with your department, your graduate coordinator, and your assigned departmental advisor first.

Your college dean's office also hires GAs; they may know about other available assistantships.

Check research centers on campus (listed in the Graduate Catalog)

Many university offices hire GAs. Inquire! Would you be a good tutor? Do you have good computer skills?
