The School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy (SUAPP) at the University of Memphis links existing units within the College of Arts and Sciences to create alliances that focus on urban and regional problems and creates an interdisciplinary body of knowledge. Students may earn a masters degree in any of the four graduate academic units. The Department of Criminal Justice offers the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice; the Division of City and Regional Planning offers the Master of City and Regional Planning degree; the Division of Health Administration offers the Masters of Health Administration; and the Division of Public and Nonprofit Administration offers the Masters of Public Administration. Introduction to processes of conducting statistical analyses of data relevant to public issues, problems, and policies in the areas of public administration, criminal justice, planning, and health administration; particular emphasis on providing an understanding of statistical concepts and techniques necessary for empirical analysis and decision-making.
