Academic Status at The University of Memphis
At
The University of Memphis, a student’s academic status is denoted by one of three conditions:

1. Good Standing
2. Academic Probation
3. Academic Suspension

Your academic standing is determined by your cumulative grade point average (GPA), which is determined by dividing the number of quality points earned by the number of quality hours; this includes degree-credit and developmental credit. Notification of academic status is by means of the grade report available to each student at the end of the regular semester or summer session on SPECTRUM.
