Readmissions Deadlines
Fall: July 1st
Spring: December 1st
Summer: May 1st

  Fresh Start Requirements
Before you can be granted an Academic Fresh Start you must:

1) have been separated from all academic institutions for AT LEAST 4 YEARS

2) submit an application with the Fresh Start Advisor prior to the completion of 24 semester hours of earned graded course work following your readmission or admission to The University of Memphis

3) complete 6 semester hours of earned graded course work within one semester. Only courses for degree credit will be counted. To qualify for an Academic Fresh Start, you must have a GPA of at least a 2.50 for all work attempted after returning to college

4) submit a formal application requesting that an Academic Fresh Start be granted and describing an academic plan which must include the declaration of a major

After the academic plan is reviewed, the office of Academic Status & Retention will forward the plan to the appropriate college dean for approval.
